Raised by a classical and gospel composer father, Kemp’s musical journey began early, inspired by witnessing his father’s works performed at Carnegie Hall. Classically trained, shaped by gospel, and ultimately drawn to jazz, Kemp developed a voice that bridges tradition and innovation with striking authority.
